Servos's ( for those of us lucky to live in the UK )

Ive done a bit of price bashing and have been offered the following deals on Hitec 5645 servos. Bear in mind the list price is £39.00 ea
All’s Hobbies offerd me £29.65 ea if ordering 10 at a time
If we ordered 50 of them then the cost comes down to £28.00 ea
Inwoods offered them at £29.50 ea if ordering 10 at a time
CAN ANYONE BETTER THESE DEALS ??
I dont know how many of us there are in the UK keen on building these fantastic robots. If we club together we can share the saving
I will need 10 servos to get me started on building a Humanoid figure
(am going to buy a body and legs and get it walking 1st)

I’m from the UK too, but I’ve only ever used ServoShop for my servos.
Unfortunately I can’t afford to use Hitec digital servos but for my robots but I found Tower Pro ballraced or metal gear servos seem to be sufficient.
I’m using 17 of the ballraced ones at the moment and since they’re analog they can be overvolted to give a moment of around 7 or 8 Kg/cm.
They might not be of high enough quality for a biped (I assume they need to hold their position well) but in a multi leg application where the weight is distributed I’ve had no problems so far.
As for your original question it doesn’t look like servoshop can give you a better price for the 5645s. They’re £36.50 when bought in 4s, but it’s another place you could try asking, especially if they think you want to buy 50 or so.
