I am trying to get familiar with my AL5D robot arm. I have the botboarduino board and have been writing small programs to try and get familiar with it. I wrote one recently and moved the arm to a certain angle with the elbow joint. It moved just fine, but then it sounds like the servos are still working and being stressed after the robot arm has stopped moving. Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong?
Here is a video of what is happening:
Unable to view your video but servos move to a position and then “hold” that position. This means it’s constantly being told to stay at that point. It doesn’t stop or turn off. Your possibly just hearing the sound of a servo holding position under strain.
Yep pretty normal for a servo when under stress. What servo model is that. Maybe upgrade it for something stronger that won’t try so hard to hold its place.
Ok cool. Thank you. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to burn up the servo. It is the HS-755HB Servo
