ServoCity 3-Axis Joystick 3rd axis potentiometer adjustment?

I bought one of these from RobotShop a while ago, but have only recently had time and occasion to test it. I’ve discovered that the 3rd axis (twist) is returning strange readings. It seems centered at about 50. When I twist it counter-clockwise, the analog signal drops to 0 as expected. However, when I twist it clockwise, the analog signal increased from about 50 to about 500, or 600, and then jumps up very quickly to 900, and then, oddly, starts to decline to about 600 again. I notice that the other two axes seem to be adjustable, but upon opening the stick housing, I could not see any way to adjust the 3rd axis. Could I have simply received a faulty unit? Does anyone else have experience with this joystick, and know of any way to adjust the potentiometer in the stick?

UPDATE: Doh, never mind. I had assumed that red and black were reference and ground, and white signal, but it looks like the black and white are reversed.
