Servo Motor rotational speed

I’m looking to use the Dynamixel AX-12 servo motor and will be operating it in a continuously rotating mode like a regular motor. Can some-one confirm that I can home the motor to a specific angle and then start the motor running at a specific rotational speed and it will keep on rotating until I tell it to stop.

So can I also select a rotational speed/velocity prior and during rotation?

Hi testguy,

You can position the servo between 0 and 300 degrees, then choose to rotate continuously. Note that the AX-12+ does not have the same connections or communication method as a regular servo (Hitec, Futaba, GWS etc), so you cannot use a normal servo controller.

Yes. However, the servo reacts as soon as a signal is received.
