Hello everyone. I need your help. I need to know how much weight that the HS-422 Servo Motor can move. The link is robotshop.com/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Hit-27&lang=en-US . Under the description, it says
• Speed (sec/60o): 0.16
• Torque (Kg-cm/Oz-in): 4.1/57
• Size (mm): 41 x 20 x 37
• Weight (g/oz): 45.5/1.6
If you can help me, I’d be glad. Thank you in advance!
thank you for the reply. One more question. How many degrees can the HS-422 Servo motor rotate?
A servo produces a rotational torque as opposed to a linear force. Torque is defined as force multiplied by distance. If you want to translate that torque to a linear force, you need to know how far away from the center of rotation it will be. For example, the 422 an lift a theoretical 4.1Kg a distance of 1cm away from the center axis. It could lift half that amount at twice the distance… 1/3 the amount at 3x the distance etc.
~180 degrees (almost all standard R/C servos rotate only 180 degrees, with a few exceptions)
