Servo equivalent

Hi, I’m not a robot builder but I do have a question about your products. First watch this video especially the standard RC servos he uses for the follow focus and zoom on the lens. Link: youtube.com/watch?time_cont … u3EboJcEOg

Now if you notice the servos he uses make loud noises which is bad for sound on set. So I wonder if you have servos that are equivalent to the standard RC servos but quite and have more turn radiuses and such. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Christopher,

First, the noise from the servo is normal and almost all RC servos on the market make a similar sound when rotating.
This being said, from the video, it seems that he is using 2 x HS-5485HB Digital Servo Motor has a stall torque of 6.4Kg.cm at 6V and a maximum travel out of box of 118° (199.5° of maximum travel when reprogrammed).
You can consider an RC servo that is rated for higher torque like the HS-5645MG Digital High Torque Servo Motor (stall torque of 10.3Kg.cm with the same travel range).
Another suggestion would be to consider a brushless servo like the HSB-9370TH Multi-Purpose Brushless Servo. It is more expensive than regular brushed servos but it offers higher torque and operates quieter.
Here is a link to our RC servos category for your reference.
