I have connected SSC-32 with COM2 baud rate set at 9600 for both system and lynxTerminal, I have connected 9V battery to VL and LED on SSC-32 starts. When I start LynxTerminal SSC-33 and click “reg” Message displays that “Can’t Find SSC-32”. When I click “timeouts” and then Click on “Ver” “0 bytes read” displays. During this operation LED never turns off.
I have also connected Futaba Mirco Servo S3114 at “00” and powered VS1 at 6.5vdc and tried to its move position through Terminal but servo doesnot move.
It only flickers when I repower SSC-32, or repower motor.
If system means the PC, then you must also set the baud rate for the SSC-32… I would set everything to the default of 115.2kbaud.
If the LED never goes out, it means the SSC-32 has not received any data. Check to make sure the jumpers by Tx and Rx are installed properly. All jumpers should be placed vertically (when you can read SSC-32). You could also be on the wrong port, com1 vs. com2, etc.
No need to try a servo. You must solve the com issues first.
