I bought a servo, WEISE DS3218 Control Angle 270 High Torque Update Servo 20KG Full Metal Gear Digital Servo, that I want to use to control the throttle on an outboard motor. I tried an RC servo controller but only got 160 degrees of travel. Upon contacting vender of servo I was informed I would need a different controller capable of a pulse width of 500-2500 microseconds. I am a wood worker and have very low skills in electronics, I just want to buy a premade controller with the wider pulse width. Doing an internet search didn’t help much but led me here, does anyone know of an off the shelf produce for me?
@capehorn You would need a servo stretcher in this case. such as the 180° Servo Stretcher. Please make sure the cables are compatible with the servo stretcher before plugging it. This will help you get 180 degrees instead of 160.
