Hi:
I have a Lynx5 robot arm. The servo of the gripper becomes very hot after short time running (less than 2 minutes), while the other servos are not hot.
I think it is not normal, what could be the reason?
I have exchanged the gears of that servo recently.

What type of servo is it? Standard? digital? and what brand?
The majority of reports I have received of the HS-81 servo getting hot was caused by the gripper being assembled incorrectly. This causes binding of the linkage connected to the servo. Binding equals friction which causes the servo to heat up as it has to work too hard to get the linkage into position. Other causes are a broken tooth of a gear can cause the geartrain to bind, preventing the servo from moving into position. If you replaced just one gear, there could be broken teeth left behind. Hope this helps.
One thing to do would be to detach the servo from the gripper and see if it has full range of motion without binding or heating.
