Servermotor torque advice

We plan to build a robotic arm as a school project, about 70 cm high. (As an industrial robot in miniature). The base is supposed to be rotating. The plan is that it should be able to lift about 300 grams. Can anyone make suggestions on appropriate server motors? I do not know what torque they must have.

The M100RAK is a very similar arm to what you described:

At full extension it can lift ~500g and needs quarter scale servos which are geared an additional 5:1.

To calculate the required torque, the following tool should be helpful:

We only take into consideration the “worst case” scenario for calculating torque.
