Hi there,
I am in search of a sensor that will connect with an arduino and detect human motion through a thick window at short distances. (approx 0m-2m)
Would one of these work for the application?
robotshop.com/ca/en/gravity … ensor.html
Or maybe lidar?
Thanks!

Hi David,
The Gravity Microwave Motion Detector Sensor will probably work.
You can also look at the SparkFun Qwiic Human Presence Sensor Breakout - AK9753 .
Lidars also would work but detecting through a window (assuming it’s glass) will reduce its effective detection range.

hello,
can you be more precise when you write " human " .
Do you want to be able to trigger ONLY a human body ? no animal, no rain or cloud …
human - human ?

Thanks Brahim,
The Microwave motion detection system works great!
@ Zgo - yes was only looking for human triggering.
I was using PIR to begin with until i did a window test… Issue solved now!
