Selecting the right motor

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

My high school robotics team is building a robot for a robohockey competition. The max speed is 10 feet/sec which limits us to motors with gear boxes operating around 10 RPM (due to wheel size). There are collisions and pushing in the contest so we are looking for a motor with gearbox around 10 RPM that can withstand brief stall conditions but have a high torque to push other robots out of the way. We were thinking 24V motors due to the possibility of more pushing power. There are so many motors on the website I was wondering if could recommend one. Thanks

Hi @TommyD and welcome to the forum.

Based on your requirements, 24VDC, around 10RPM, high torque, gearbox, here are my suggestions:

I hope this helps a little bit.
