Hi There,
I recently start to desing and build the same time a security bot for my house. The idea is to add a camera some sensors and that's it. I will open my netbook or pc login into the network and drive this from anywhere. But i need some help with it vision i want to put a usb camera and i don't know how to transmit it on the network. And then i saw a wr703n mini router. I will put a battery to supply my bot and the same time the router. Is this going to work or ......?
If you have an idea how to transmit the video (Usb Camera) to the net (Via wifi) please tell me.
Thanks a lot
You haven’t given us any information at all.
What processor (board) are you planning to use? What camera? What language?
We have nothing to go on to help you.
Search for telepresence in the lmr search.
You will find things like: https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/34323
**Opssss I forgot **
Well I planning to use an arduino uno or mega i didn’t decide yet…

I just need a way to stream (Live Video) From Camera To Internet (My Private Server Website) …Do you suggest any portable router like wr703n . I really need to find a way!
Nice
Your idea is indeed very unique. Last year, me and my son tried to build a similar thing. We ended building a home bot connected with the motion sensor security lighting of our house. After many correction to the robot, it started to record each and every thing happening around it, plus the additional input it would be getting from our motion sensor security lighting.
Hey Nicolas. Look forward to
Hey Nicolas. Look forward to seeing you try your project with a USB camera. How about trying to use an Android smartphone as an IP Camera too? You can simply download an App and mount the smartphone on a Pan Tilt Bracket. The App will then stream to an IP address and you can access the live video through another device connected under the same network. Going autonomous or manual ? Both cool, up to you!
And TinHead is offering to print his TTBN Alpha. It looks like a great robot for a surveillance thing with tracks and all. You might want to check it out. Not just the print, you will also find all the necessary software to setup.
