Scratch or kit?

Hi I’m new to robotics and was debating whether to build a robot from scratch for roughly $200 or get thhe lego mindstorms kit for $300 because it is supposed to be very good and you can design it with multiple configurations:confused:. What’s your opinion on what I should do?

If you are starting out, kits provide really good value. That NXT is a great choice because it has all sorts of sensors and projects possibilities.
