Another build that simply "came into existence" right on my workbench one night!
Scrappy 1.0 gets his monicker from the fact that his chassis was a happy accident of scrap plastic pieces. Originally I had intended to work on my ever-so-frustratingly-long-and-time-consuming "cheaply mass produced" swarm bot chassis, when I realized the micro metal gearmotors I had were too long to attach in series to the 2"x2" base. Doh!
Since that didn't work, I grabbed the remaining leftover pieces and roughly cut them to size. Even then, I was too tired to realize... STILL too short on the width! Oh well, at least there was enough space between the motor contacts to solder wires to the motor tabs :).
Scrappy 1.0 loves his Master and Creator very much, and will be assisting him in everyday robot building, and general robot activities like beeping and running around Master's work table. He's deathly afraid of jigsaws, and despises 3D printers.
Keeps its owner company
- Actuators / output devices: Two micro metal gearmotors from China
- Target environment: Tabletop
