Scout Servo

Hi guys.I made my Scout to walk whit the 5010TowerPro servos, but they are not exactly happy about it makeing all sorts of bad noise. So I am planning for some time to upgrade my Scout’s “muscles” but i am not shure witch servo to choose.

I have found a couple of chioces but hope you could give an opinion on the best one:
-5645MG : nice servo for the price, but i am thinking of giving some hands to my robot so not shure how long they would last whit the extra weight.
-5990TG : awesome servo, pitty for the price tag. I found it for about 119$ , but only from USA, so customs would make it a problem in the $$ department(i am from Romania) (closer to 150$ :frowning: )
-7950TH : grate one, even better then 5990 from the specs( did anyone ever use this in a robot? any good?). This has the upperhand for me, having found it @ about 120$ a pice whit all the taxes .

Need to mention that right now my budget would rly suffer even if i buy only 8 of the most expenisve ones. So can anyone give me some opinions pls?

If u can afford it go for the HSR-5990-TG expensive but worth it long term , alternately go for HR 645’s lower cost. the HSR-5990;s are digital.

the 5645mg are also digital are they worse then the 645?

and what about the 7950TH any good for this kit?

The 645 is not really recommended for this robot. The 5645 is a really powerful servo. The 7990 is also awesome. Both would work, the 7990 obviously the best.

Hmm is there a 7990 hitec servo? or did u mean 5990.

Oops typo. I meant 5990. Yes there is a 7990 coming soon. Must have had it on my brain when replying. It’s a monster standard size servo with around 640 oz.in. of torque. 8)

and whit a monster price tag also probably:)) Can u give any tips about the 7950TH are they any good in the scout ?

vlads: i have 30 of the hsr5990sg servos and they are awesome, abeit a bit noisy but that is digital servos for you.
