Scout kit

Hi

In the description of the “Scout Biped & Biped Torso” it says it contains 6x Aluminum “C” Servo Bracket with Ball Bearings Two Pack but it dosen’t say anything about the Long servo brackets witch are used in the construction. So can anyone tell me exactly what the kit contains? maybe a picture of the parts in the kit.
Also does it have the servo hinges used for the assembly or not?

Thank you,
Vlad

The kit’s will come with everything you will need to complete assembly. Im sure its just been over looked.

Kits come complete with all parts. You will not need to buy any additional parts to complete the mechanical construction, however, additional components will be required to complete the bot as a whole. You will need in addition to the kit: a battery, harness, BB2 or SSC-32 or both, Basic Atom Pro MCU and charger.

Parts list fixed. It is now:

* Lexan Components
* 5x Aluminum "C" Servo Bracket with Ball Bearings Two Pack (ASB-09)
* 2x Aluminum Multi-Purpose Servo Bracket Two Pack (ASB-04)
* 2x Aluminum Dual Inline Multi-Purpose Servo Bracket Single Pack (ASB-15)
* 1x Aluminum Long "C" Servo Bracket with Ball Bearings Two Pack (ASB-10)
* 1x Aluminum 15-degree Ankle Bracket Two Pack (ASB-17)
* 1x Aluminum Robot Foot (Pair) (ARF-02)
* 1x E-Z Aluminum Servo Bracket (One Pair) (ASB-02)
* 1x SES Electronics Carrier (EC-02)

Sorry about the confusion.

Lexan Components ?

OK, I get it now. The SES parts are all aluminum, but there is still a Lexan chassis?

Alan KM6VV

Yep, just like the 209.

Eventually they will all be converted to aluminum. There are very few Lexan parts still available. 8)

Probably why I wasn’t thinking of any Lexan being used. Aluminum (or Titanium!) would look great!

without trying to spam this thread i would like to add:
i once had one of the EH3-R hexapods.

and i always wished LM would produce this in Aluminum! hint hint. 8)

Wouldn’t that in aluminum be this?.. :open_mouth:

well ok you kinda got me there but i was refering to using the same shape cuts in aluminim instead of lexan,
but of course i know the reason why an SES version works better. im sure if the EH3-r was built as it is, but
in Alum, it would be quite heavy. be an interesting build tho!
The hardcore ancestor of the current hexapod range. :laughing:

CF would rock!

Ah I see. Well the truth is the parts count on those old leg designs. It was just too much. Like a handful of hardware per leg. Parts bag nightmare I tell ya! The new design has no parts bag, just the standard SES ones.

I still feel there is a need for lexan components. For example, I would want a board carrier made out of lexan vs. aluminum for two reasons.

1.) Non conductive
2.) Flexes vs. bends when the bot falls over and lands on part of the board.

The biped PETE torso however, I would like to see made in aluminum 8)
