Scooba not vacuuming up dirty water

Hi there

I have a Scooba that works great, except it does not vacuum up the water after washing the floor.

Has anyone seen this and knows how to resolve the problem?

Many thanks!

Would replacing the scooba tank solve this problem? If all of these things have been tried, what are the next options?

Hi meadead,

It is possible that your robots vacuum is defective and therefore, not picking up the dirty water. Do you still hear that high pitched sound when your robot cleans? Do you feel air exhausting from the side of the tank?

If you hear the vacuum and can feel the air, it is also possible that your robot tank is dirty and needs a good cleaning. You may want to have your tank soak in hot water and/or shake any debris out of it.

If you flip the robots tank over, you have the holes for the Scooba filter port and vacuum port. You may want to insert hot water on one side of the tank (the filter hole) and come out of the other (the vacuum port hole).

If you are not technically inclined, you may also consider our Scooba diagnostic and repair service.

Do you hear the vacuum buzzing sound when the robot works? Do you also feel air exhausting from the side of the tank?

If so, your robots vacuum is working properly. In this case, we would suggest replacement the tank.

If you do not hear this sound or feel any air. We would recommend replacing the vacuum motor.
