Schematic Diagram

Does anyone out there have a schematic diagram for the Heathkit Hero-1 Speech board , if so let me know please.

Dave

If you know the part number for the board, it might very well be available here:
vintage-radio.info/heathkit/index.htm

There are also schematics available at this site, though they’re all listed by part number as well:
nostalgickitscentral.com/heath/heathkit.html

If not, well, more googling is required. Hope this helps!

I don’t. But I’m wondering why you want to go back that far?

there are a lot newer chips out there. I’ve ordered some speech chips:

There is a demo board (out of stock) and there is an Arduino board, but I think I’ll just wire up a board myself.

Thanks for the links but I’ve been there…no luck, the Hero-1 robot guys have schematics but covet them very much so it’s hard to get any info without giving up your first, second and third born children or your bank account, I am willing to pay but I just can’t bring myself to mortgage my house for some info.

I wish people would wake up to the knowledge thing and realize that " KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS UNLESS IT IS SHARED" I’ve actually known some people that passed away who had a collection of electronic diagrams that they coveted so much that there wasn’t any arrangement for them ( the diagrams ) when they passed away so the family no knowing what they were burned them with many other items. Never to be seen again one of a kind.

That’s also why I think this forum is great tons of shared info…

that’s enough of my ramblings…and thanks again for the links.

Yes I know, I have a Speak Jet, nice chip, the Hero-1 speech board is just a nice nostalgic speech board that I will keep alive just because I want to.

Good enough reason!

Hey it works for me…have you done any good projects with the Speak jet…IE: install on a hex and make bug sounds???

Not yet, I just ordered the parts!
