Scanning Laser Rangefinder data rates

Interested in data rates with the Hokuyo UTM-30LX Scanning Laser Rangefinder as well as some of the other LRF options. Do the LRFs include software or do they produce a raw data stream? Options? Ultimately I’m looking to send the feed through a transmitter and need to know what kind of rates I’ll need to achieve.

I would appreciate any details/sources if possible:
-points per second
-data stream format
-raw data rate*

Most Laser rangefinders use either serial (trough a USB adaptor or TTL signals) or etehrnet to communicate. Please see the document below to learn about the protocol specifications and possible data rates for the UTM-30LX:
