Here are the sample aluminum legs for the CH3-R.
Hope to have stock in about a month.
Interesting.
Are you tapping the servo mounting holes or leaving clear through?
Is the design for 1 or 2 pieces per leg?
They are .125" thick and intended to be used as a one piece leg. The price was just prohibitive to do the two 0.06" version.
They’re tapped. 8)
Perfect … I can’t wait to get my mitts on a set of these!
These Legs look nice! But they look much thicker then 1/8", maybe 3/8"? or are they perhaps wooden patterns? That might explain it.
Where can I find the “inverse kinematic” formulas/data/model? Or more about it?
Thanks,
Alan KM6VV
they are .125" thick, it says above
there is bound to be inverse kinetics topic some where on this forum…
In the photo above, I believe that what you see are several of the leg elements, stacked neatly on top of each other, with a single element, mounted to a servo, in the center.
Yeah, otherwise it would be like a pound/leg
I like the new design, maybe put some led in there to?
Go get 'em.

Sweet! I’m going on vacation, but when I get back in a couple weeks it’s hex time!
Hi Jim,
OK, I see some leg kits, and the SES parts, and now the new contour legs I want. Will there be a leg kit with the new aluminum ‘C’ legs?
Is there an advantage to getting the kit over individual SES parts (like $)?
Is there a BOM for the leg kits with SES part numbers?
Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get this project rolling, er, walking!

P.S. Nice Legs!
We added these parts this way to limit additional work on this end. Sorry 'bout that. The leg kits are priced the same as the individual parts. We don’t charge more to pack them up in pairs. So that’s why we listed the required servo hinge and the rubber end cap, so people could roll their own leg kits.
