I have a Sabortooth 2x5 for a Johnny 5 robot kit. I’m feeding it an analog signal for its inputs.
and the motors are not driving.
I’ve verified 0-5 volts on the S0 and S1 inputs. At power up I see a pwm signal (12 volts) on the motor for ~2 seconds, then it goes away.
Then settles down to 5 volts.
The blue LED is on, Red is off.

The board was shipped with 3 pwm connectors instead of terminal block as shown in the diagram.
I removed them and soldered my signal directly to S0 & S1 inputs, and ground.

Note that the 2x5 RC includes a built-in BEC which provides 5V to whatever it is connected to (SSC-32U or receiver for example) via the center red wires. This must be disconnected if you are powering the electronics otherwise or else you will have two input voltages competing with each other. Can you provide a few clear photos of your setup showing the connections? Don’t connect the main batteries but simply show where they would be connected.
