Sabertooth wiring

Hello, new here. I recently made an RC mower using two wheel chair motors and a sabertooth 2x32 controller. I’m using FS-CT6B RC transmitter and it works great, but now I would like to use a channel for an LED light control. I tried programming the 2x32 with describe software with no luck. Is there a step by step to follow? From what i understand on the 2x32 controller the A1 and or A2 can be connected directly to the receiver for two additional radio controls. Then P1 and P2 become the outputs respectively?

Thank you

Hello @SilverSurfer,

Welcome to the forum

I am reading instructions from https://www.robotshop.com/media/files/pdf/rb-dim-47-datasheet.pdf and I am trying to figure out in which mode are you trying to work (since there are many of them). Probably you want a custom User Mode described on page 31?

Could you take a picture of your wiring? And also a DIP switch settings?

Hi , thank you. Here are the images. I’m using user mode, not sure if correct. In Device Monitor I am able to see -100% to +100% on A2 input, but nothing on output. Also for P2, is output voltage 5V, user defined or whatever my input is at B+?

As far as I understood from the specification, P2 should be user defined from 0 to max voltage on B+. And according to your DIP switches, you are in user mode 1.

Have you checked this P1%20P2 ?

Yes the mode is set to controllable output.

Did you solve it in the end @SilverSurfer?

Which voltages are you measuring on P2?

What is connected to P2? Only one LED?

No, still not working

I just checked the manual again, looks like dips were set to RC mode but should have been on user mode. The lights seem to be working now on bench, I will check in mower tomorrow.
Thanks for the help, I will post again with final result
