Sabertooth 2x25 stooped working

I have a Sabertooth 2x25 i had it working before during a run i was showing some one my machine its a power chair base the right motor started to twich but that usally does that when i charge the battery to power the receiver but i noticed the lights dont come on when hook up the 24 v power it only comes on when i hook the receiver battery up. i went through all the dip swiches i re bind and re bind but it still wont move the only way it move is by switching the fist dipswich.I checked all the wires and re installed them and still nothing…i cant seem to figure it out

Welcome Dragbot to our forums. Can you upload a picture of your sabertooth showing the connections and dip switch positions? That will help us see what’s going on.

Here it is when everything is powerd on

here is it without the small battery but still connected to the 12 volt

Hi Dragbot,

Can you tell us where you connected your 12V battery ? (The little RC pack in the picture i guess)
The Sabertooth supply the voltage to the receiver by the “5V” terminal so you don’t need and should not connect any other power option for your receiver unless you don’t connect the positive wires from the receiver to the Sabertooth.

the chip for some reason it wont power the receiver and never did when i got the chip and i tried it taking out the 5v wires and keeping the 12 volt
and nothing turns on.The 12 v connects ware the terminals ware the chip can turn the motors. i dont think it could be bunt out it never smoked or got hot. i have a sabertooth 2x60 and works grate

I don’t understand where you connected the 12V.

Receiver cannot be powered from 12V, so you need some kind of step-down voltage regulator. The internal BEC from the Sabertooth should take care of that.
You should never connect two battery to the Sabertooth, only the main battery.

From the manual

Is English your language ? If you want you can write in French too.

i use a 5v battery for the receiver separate from the 12v is to power the motors

Ok, i can see better how you wire things.

You Need to remove the positive wires between the Receiver and the Sabertooth if you want to use a battery to power the Receiver.
That’s first thing.

Than, the blue light is normal on the picture, since the sabertooth don’t see any RC Signal (don’t look to be powered)

The switch 6 look to be wrong, make sure you put them right.

Controller should supply power to the Receiver, if it’s not it might be deffective from the start ?

Alright ill try that Thanks for helping me out!

Alright ive taken out the 5 v wire and set up my switches ans still connecting the 5v to the reciver and it came on but the chip still dosent seem to have any power. it came on when the 5v wire was connected

Yes but it’s not a good thing, the 5V from the Sabertooth is an Output of 5V and if you keep the wire you are supplying voltage from the Receiver to the Sabertooth which can damage it.
Create a ticket here and give us the order number of your Sabertooth.

Ok that was my first chip i worked with which thing shuld i click? the return 1?

Yes “Exchange / Return” will do.
We are transferring between department too, just faster if you send it to the right place first.

Ok Thanks for the help though! i give you a thumbs up ^.^
