Hello @Reeder and welcome to the forum!

The 12V 5310 RPM “CIM” Brushed DC Motor has the following specs:

  • Nominal Voltage: 12V
  • No Load Current: 2.7A
  • Stall Current: 133A

It does not mention the continuous current so if we estimate it at about 25% of the stall current, it would give us approximately 33A.

When choosing motor controller you have to consider the motor’s nominal voltage, continuous current, control method and the number of channels. The Sabertooth Dual 60A has a nominal Voltage of 6 - 30V (so 12V will work), 60A continuous current (so 33A will be fine), supports R/C (so you can use it with a remote control) and it has two channels (so you can control two motors). It can achieve up to 120A peak current but it has thermal and overcurrent protection, so even if your motor stalls the controller should be fine.

In summary, the sabertooth 60A will work with your motor. However, if you only want to control one motor, you could look for a single-channel controller, you can find very good options in the 30A+ DC Controllers and R/C DC Controllers sections of the store.

Finally, if you need more help selecting a motor controller I suggest checking this guide:

I hope this helps
