I just bought the RB-Dfr-602 wheel and motor kit, and the shaft collars don’t actually tighten, which means that when the screws are fully screwed in, the motor can still just pop right out of the wheel. I’m wondering if this is a product defect or mistake with the screw sizing, or if I’m doing something wrong assembling? Any suggestions to work around this issue to ensure the motor and wheel fit is secure are very welcome!
Hi @lilz and welcome to our forum.
Can you give us your order ID?
As I see, you need this coupler to connect motor shaft and wheel:
Shaft is tightened with the screw, and hex part goes into the center of the wheel then you tighten it with the cover and black screw. Did you install it like this?
Also, here is one comment from the product page regarding similar issue:
My order # was 1349353

Thank you.
Can you take a photo when it is mounted on the shaft? Have you tightened the screw as much as you could? Is something blocking it?
Here’s a video: the set screw is tight and the motor just slides right in and out
Are you sure you cannot tight it anymore?
Do both clamps behave the same?
Yes, I’m absolutely sure that it cannot tighten any more. And yes, both are the exact same.
Strange.
