I would like some help figuring out how to fix the following.
I’ve had my Litter Robot 3 for 3 years. In the last 2 months the rubber liner has ceased to decend during the rotation cycle. I’ve checked, and the metal weight is still in place, and there is nothing obvious adhering the liner to the wall of the globe. The rubber sill appears to be supple, so thinking not a rigidity issue.
The vent on the globe is unobstructed, so I don’ think there is a vacuum forming behind the rubber.
I have noticed when I partly removed the liner, that there is a very very faint oil on the back, but that may be intentionally part of the liner.
Okay, the 35mb clib couldn’t be uploaded to your platform, so moved it to youtube:
As you can see, I turn off at the top of the cycle, and it stays up.
I have the same issue. seem like the rubber gets stiff/ is there something i can do to the rubber to improve its elasticity. or even have a heavier weight to force the rubber liner to release from the globe?
I wound up taking off the old liner, then hot-gluing a 4oz coin/disk fishing weight to the existing weight. Also, I cleaned the back of the liner, to make sure it was nice and dry (it seemed to have acquired a sheen / light oil over the years). Once that was done, it seemed to work great/reliably.
