RPLIDAR Low Cost 360 degree 2D Laser Scanner (LIDAR) System

Hi,

I have a RP LiDAR and i got the 2D plane image in note pad. (see the attached file)

How can I (as user) interpret from the note pad.

Can I know from each point if there is a sudden height / depth change ?

Can the data tell if it is ground level or building from numeric numbers.

I know RPLiDAR (the LiDAR I used to get the attached text file) is only a sensor that convert distance with angle information into digital data that can be processed in an certain algorithm to handle some actual problems.

Unfortunately, it seems your file is not attached to your post. You can always edit your post to add the file (see attached image).

As for using the RPLidar for mapping, SLAM, etc. you may want to look at the following resources:
