I purchased an RPLidar A3M1 (SN: A3E2EE8BC8E792D8B1E39BF32A344C61) from RobotShop (order #1241880) approximately 1 year ago. It was working fine until last week. It has suddenly stopped giving obstruction data. I was using it with ROS, and it now just outputs “inf” values for all ranges. The Health status code is 0, and it spins normally. I can see the red laser light. I tested it on the Windows RoboStudio environment but it also fails to output data there. It connects to the application fine, but does not show any obstacle data. I have attached a screenshot of RoboStudio.
I reached out to SlamTec directly and they told me to have the LiDAR repaired through RobotShop.
