RPLidar a2m8 adapter board barrel jack polarity

Hello,

I am new to the RPLidar product range, and have just bought my first one, the a2m8. I am not able to find any information on the polarity of the barrel jack on the adapter board. Any information on this would be of great help.

Hi,

The barrel connection of the RB-Rpk-02 [A2M8] is center-positive.

While this is not said explicitly anywhere, you can derive it from the power supply it is shipped with, which has the information printed on it showing the polarity of the connector:
polarity_marking_center_positive (15%).png

Of course, you can always derive this information by powering the board and using a multimeter, too! :wink:
