The spec sheet for the A2 says that the resolution is less than 0.5 for distances under 1.5 meters. The way it’s written suggests this is .5 mm. Can anyone confirm that this is 0.5 millimetres and not .5 meters?

We assume you are referring to the RB-Rpk-02.
As seen in the datasheet for this product (available on the product page under Useful Links) on page 9, the distance resolution is “< 0.5 mm” at distances under 1.5 m.
You may also want to have a look at the graph on the bottom half of the page for more details.
