Rover with robotic arm instructions

Dear RobotShop:
I want to purchase the Lynxmotion Aluminum A4WD1 Kit for RC. The product code is: RB-Lyn-461.
The A4WD1 kit come with a 6 channel radio control. On the Lynxmotion website I saw this same robot that mounted a 5 or 6 DOF robotic arm. I guess the Robotic arm was also controlled by the 6 channel radio control system.
I want my nephew to help me in the construction of this project, but I have some questions that need to be answered.
How many channels must my radio control system be in order for me to operate both the rover and the robotic arm?
If the answer is over six. Can I upgrade the Radio control system? How much?
Where are the instructions on how to integrate a robotic arm with the rover?

Hi Mark,

It’s not suggested to use an R/C system for the arm itself as it’s not really easy to control.
We have an example using a PS2 controller on our GitHub.
