Rover 5 - Dagu4 , Arduino UNO

Hi, 
  I am fairly new to this and been working on the arduino Uno for a while. But now, I got a rover 5 robot chassis but I am confused

on how to connect it up with a dagu 4 and arduino uno. Would really appreciate a step by step instruction on how to connect up

the wires because as I said, I am fairly new to this and not sure how it works completely.

The output from the battery
The output from the battery is going to the motor supply. And when i connect the wheel motors to the motor output.
But they don’t seem to work. Am I missing something?

Did you connect 5V to the other terminal for the onboard chips ? They need seperate 5V.
