Upon purchasing the Dagu Rover 5, I expected more literature or reference material for the pin connections, but in fact received nothing but the physical bot. robotshop.com/dagu-rover-5-2wd-tracked-chassis.html
Does anybody know of any reference materials for the pins, or know themselves what they are from experience? I am hesitant to make connections that could damage the hardware.
Thanks for reading and helping!
John
Hi UarkREU,
Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. There is unfortunately not a lot of reference material available for the Rover, but the wiring should be standard:
Two larger wires protrude from the motor (red and black) which are connected to your motor controller. There should be four wires from the encoder: red goes to 5V, black goes to GND and the two other colors are the digital signals which need to be connected to digital or analog pins on your microcontroller.
Hope this helps,
