Rotation of Servo motor/ Power gearbox?

Hi jack_lai,

Almost all of Hitec’s servos rotate 180 degrees with a few exceptions such as the flat wing servo and the winch servo. Be cautious if hte servo is found in the “specialty servo motors” category. Changing the internal potentiometer is risky because they are rated for a specific voltage, and have a specific size in order to line up with the PCB and gears. There is a mechanical stop on the gears as well which would need to be removed. You can use a potentiometer externally quite easily.

Yes - the manufacturer offers a wide range of power gearboxes using a variety of servos, gears and potentiometers. However, we can only make special orders if the total amount is several hundred dollars. You are free to try to integrate your own type of potentiometer as well, though there is no guarantee it will fit perfectly.

The SPG800A uses the 805BB quarter scale servo, which can provide (on its own) up to 343 oz-in. Multiplied by 5, the combination of the 805BB and the power gearbox provides 1715oz-in (max). The giant Torxis servo can produce ~1600oz-in.

The only information we have available is what can be found in the HS-422 datasheet and the HS-425BB datasheets.

Sincerely,
