Hi speeder,

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum.

It seems that your robot is turning in circles. This is something we see from time to time. You might want to check in the previous posts in the ‘Robot Vacuums and Floor Cleaners’ section of the forum, and check out post like this one.

Often the bumper sensors are dirty. If after cleaning them nothing changes, you may need to repair the robot using the bumper sensor boards mentioned in the above link. If you’re not comfortable with repairing the robot yourself, we suggest you contact the distributor where you bought the robot, or the manufacturer directly for support with your robot.

If the robot is not spinning in circles or if you determine that it does give some kind of error, let us know and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hi speeder,

The 10-beep error means your side wheels are stuck or the bumper isn’t seeing an obstacle. Really though, it comes up because the robot sees that it’s wheels are turning but it hasn’t hit an obstacle for a long time, so the robot thinks it’s stuck in place (or in a ridiculously large room without any obstacles in it). That’s why the manual asks you to clean the wheels or unstick them.

However, it seems more likely that your robot is getting a 9-beep error considering the robot is turning in circles. In that case we refer you to our previous response: you need to contact the manufacturer directly, or the distributor where you bought the robot to get support with this robot. Beyond that, the only other choice is to get parts to repair the robot - however this is recommended only if you are technically inclined and feel comfortable with repairing the robot. If you want to repair the robot, double-check what error your robot is getting. Per the behavior, we think you need bumper sensor boards, quantity of two.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

hello,

When your robot runs in circles , does it seem like one of the wheels is not turning at all? If so, then it may be that wheel actually. Try to spin both wheels by hand; does one feel stiffer than the other, or resist more than normal? You may need a new wheel module; it depends on which one is not turning at all?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks,
