Roomba pet series battery problems

Hi!

I did a thorough cleaning of my Roomba pet series and 2 things happened. The brush at the front right that pulls in hair started making a clicking noise and when I checked it out further it catches as it turns. Also, the Roomba cleans for about 10 seconds before turning off and flashing red, saying that the battery needs to be recharged. I’ve done this sort of cleaning where I take the base off remove any hair that gets stuck under the cover and I haven’t had this issue before. So I’m wondering what happened this time and why it affected the battery?

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Depending if you have replaced or not the battery, you would need a new battery, which usually needs to be replaced every two years.

Maybe you left the robot with a depleted battery for too long and it killed the battery.

You would need to replace the brush or the brush motor for this one. You can simply remove the brush, it if still does the sound, then the motor will need replacement eventually.
