How long have you not replaced the battery? The battery can usually last between 1 to 2 years with proper care. The test you have run cannot indicates if the battery is good or not. The robot needs a certain voltage to operate and if the battery drop too quickly below that threshold, then you will see the dead battery / recharge song appear.
