Roomba 800 Series exposed to water

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

After being exposed to water, my Roomba 805 (from Costco) would not recharge.

I bought a new battery. Now, the motor runs, and the side brush spins, but the wheels do not work.

Is there any diagnostic I could do, to see what is wrong? I honestly don’t know if the vacuum is working, either.

I’m hoping to save my Roomba!

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

I let it dry for week before trying to recharge and getting the battery error. Then I replaced the battery, which DOES function in that it turns the motor on, but the machine does not move.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello @susanbuchert and welcome to the RobotShop community,

You can try following the Recommended Robot Care steps listed in the Product Manual and the troubleshooting steps. However, the water might have damaged the sensors and contacts so it would be better if you contact IRobots directly, you can find the contact information on the manual.

Good luck with your Roomba!
