Does anybody know how the charging system works on the roomba 760. It does not seem to charge my battery, and no light is showing up when docked. (besides the dock that is solid green)
The base is 22.5V input. Output is 2V without roomba, 22.5V with roomba on the contacts.
When I disassembled my roomba it seems that the contacts of the battery to mainboard are the battery voltage. Only 1.8V.
You seem to be getting the correct voltage from the robots charger and home base. Have you tried charging your Roomba by plugging the charger directly into the side of the robot? have you tried removing the battery to see if there is any debris underneath?
You see no light at all pulsing on the robot itself?
The current price for a Roomba 760 motherboard is $250. It is very expensive considering that replacement parts cannot be purchased from the manufacturer directly and these parts must be taken from new or used robots.
Thank you for confirming. The best option at this time would be to purchase a replacement motherboard. We unfortunately do not have this motherboard available at this time but, you may be able to find one from another source.
No lights, and the 760 does not have a charger connector like my 510 had.
I inspected the mainboard and do not see any issues. When connecting the battery and charger the mainboard only gets the 2V that the battery has. It does not get 14.4 or 22 like the adaptor.
Somehow the charging circuit is bad…but what…
