Roomba 560 battery reset…“Clean” light never goes out when holding “Spot/Dock” for 30 seconds or more. Tried many times, watched the video too. Is there something else I can do? Roomba works fine just not running very long before it needs a charge(maybe 12 minutes)…also it charges back to green pretty quickly. Thought I’d do a battery reset before buying a new battery.

Did you actually buy and install new battery or still not?
I guess the old battery would explain this behavior.

Hi, thanks for responding. its not a new battery…it will run for 15 minutes or so. I thought I would try a reset before buying a new one but can’t get the procedure to work…I push the “Clean” button…hold down “Spot and Dock” at the same time…but the “Clean” button never dims or goes out no matter how long I hold down “Spot/Dock”, so I’m not completing the reset procedure. Any ideas? thanks.

How old is the battery?Battery is prolly at least 5 years old. i just removed the batt. and put it back in, got the “reset song”…confirmed by the 12:00 reading on “clock”…I’ll charge for 4 days a run a test. Thanks, I’ll let ya know if it helps with run time!
