Roomba 4110 drop switch vs. switch in front wheel arm

Ok, this might be the easiest question in the history of robots, but I don’t know anything about robots and am finding that I have to learn. Thanks for the patience

I have a Roomba 4110. It has a non-swivel caster wheel in the front.

I dismantled the front wheel to clean it (lots of hair), and while trying to put it back together, I somehow managed to break the blue switch inside the arm/behind the metal sheath. The only replacement switches I can find are the drop switches. They look the same to me. Can I order a drop switch and use it to replace the blue switch in the arm?

I’m sorry I don’t have my own photos at the moment, but the switch I broke is the one pictured here: robotshop.com/blog/en/files/620.jpg

thanks!

Hi,
You could replace the switch with the drop switch, but we would suggest you to replace the whole wheel assembly. It’ll be easier for you and trouble-free. You can purchase the Non-Swivel caster wheel here : robotshop.com/en/roomba-disc … embly.html

Thanks much for the quick reply! I’ll look at it this weekend and see if I want to tackle the switch or the whole wheel in one go.
