Little tip
Remember kids, the older the better. I found more parts in the prehistoric beasts up to 1GB then in the newer ones. 1 one of them even used a proper steppenmotor to move the “read-heads” over the disks. Freak knows from what era that was.

and even better they have a bearing in the center that is tappered on both sides (so you can just bolt them to a chassis and its moving real smooth).
First parcel arrived
The picaxe stuff came in. Pretty fast. Pretty nice.
The motors on the front, mistake. Pretty large and high for a minibot. Some others are on the way already.
With the order i got some abs boxes in various sizes. Dirt cheap and very handy.

Because the grippers take up space I lifted the Sharp with a spacer

Alright, Rommel has his hands and face mounted
He has 3 little servos, 2 you can see the other one goes inside. For the hands and eyes. He also got 2 little headlights.
Now we have to wait for the motors and a sharp sensor (the one on there is the gp2d15, digital on/off).

Tracks
Yes, my stuff came in today. No, it’s not right yet. They sent 2 motors but one had a very little shaft. No twss. So it’s back to the shop (how frustrating).
Anyhow, the rest was ok so I managed to start on the tracks. Check it out:
There's a little rollercaster in the front (from polulu). The Sharp sensors also came in, long(er) range one is mounted on there now. Since the tracks are that small I couldn't go for 3 wheels. The picture isn't very good. It looks better standing here.
