Robotics engeneer

I have just got a school assignement that requires me to describe a job in a text of 500 words. Of course, I chose to work on the robotics engeneer. I will be doing a lot of research, but are there any "special" things I might not find out about this job? Any under-the-hood stuff?

I believe it can be a versatile position… creating AI systems, working with automation systems, etc.  BTW you might find this link useful for describing robotics engineers.
