Robotic Vision Question

Hey everyone,

I'm essentially building a glorified pan, tilt camera that will hopefully one day shoot a laser.  I was originally thinking about using a WIFI camera.  I was going to have the video stream sent to a laptop and imported into a JAVA application.  Now I've never done something like this.  My hopes is to have the robot controled remotely, and there is no onboard CPU, only an arduino controller.  I really dont want to use a USB webcam.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
