Robotic Street Sweeper Motor Controller for a film

Hello, relatively new to RC and robot designing, so please excuse the simple questions! I need to create 2 opposite rotating round brushes. I’m going to use the Cytron power window motors, available through robotshop. I dont need to control these via RC, I just want a switch on the street sweeper, with a potentiometer for speed. One rotating clockwise and the other anti clockwise. Some sort of protection will be useful in case the brushes hit something and stop the motors. Could anyone recommend a DC motor controller?

You can consider Cytron MD10C (10A) or Pololu High-Power Motor Driver.

If you want to control both motors from one controller, via potentiometer (or RC), MDDS30 should do the work:
