I have had (and still have) a Robomower RL1000 (with dock) as well as three RL800’s that I have used on a large lawn where I use to live. Now I live in the city which I now have a rather small lawn (250m’s). My current RL series are way too large to navigate around my small yard so I am now looking into selling them and getting a smaller robotic mower. I have been looking at several different brands (including staying with the Robomower line (albeit a small model)). One of the best features that I like about the Robomower line is the ‘edge mode’ feature. I love how it follows and mows the edge wire before starting it’s zig-zag pattern to get the rest of the yard. My question is this, is the Robomower line the only brand that does edge mowing? I can’t imagine a robotic mower not doing the edge, being that I have always had the Robomower that does it, which leaves me very little edge trimming that I had to do and none at all at the curbs. I have never had to do multiple zones before but with this yard I have a very narrow path between the front yard and the back yard that I would like for the mower to be able to navigate between so to be able to get both. Any suggestions?
Hi,
Beside the Robomow brand, we also have the Landroid robot mower that has similar functionalities.
Hi… do you still have/own the RL1000?
Thanks in anticipation of your reply ~ Eddy
@EddyAB Welcome to the RobotShop Community! Although RobotShop carried their products, we no longer carry the RL-1000 lawn mower. We hope to carry more robotic mowers in the future, but for the moment you can see our selection here:
