My first entry in this forum, hope to learn and share technical tips on robot making. Ok, cut the story short, i had involved in making robot on and off, i can't say my robot is first grade but passable. I had made two versions of it. 1) using perforted board with screws to make the robot base using tamiya double gear motor and 2) using wooden rectangle blocks to made the skeleton to mount the electronics part (arduino mcu) on it. it had ultrasonic sensor mounted for obstacles sensing. but stop at that.
subsequently, i spent time learning more about other sensors such as IR and capacitive sensing (using alumn sheet) and using android phone to control servo motion via bluetooth. That is all that wrap up some of my experiements with arduino.
Currently, i am diverting my attention (despite scarce of time to take care of my two children) to something more fun (to me) and entertaining for my children. well, it is animatronics...:D
if you have done animantronics face before, could you share with me how to make face mould? i am intending make face mould using paper clay and apply heat to the acrylic sheet to make the final shape. Glad to hear from you. Thank you.
