If you have the old version of the globe, this includes the Internal shield.
It has been determined by the manufacturer that the Internal Shield was an unnecessary feature that creates confusion and functional issues when not affixed properly. Because of these issues, it has been retired from production.
Instead, you will find a beige plug in your globe, note that this will not affect the functionality of the product.
