My partner and I completely built a lynx motion ADL5 model robot arm and are now trying to program the ssc-32 board using flowbotics but the robot arm wont respond to the commands that are given to it even though its connected to the program. Is there anything that we can try that will make it follow the commands. Please help any advise to this situation will be helpful.
Hi,
Please provide us with one or more pictures clearly showing all connections from your SSC-32U to your computer and robotic arm, making sure to show all jumpers, power cables, etc.
Also, please press the baud rate button on the SSC-32U. If should turn off the red LED and blink the green LED quickly for a few seconds. If both LEDs stay off, please make sure you have power connected to the VS1 input (not VL / VS2) of the board of 6 V DC (the power supply & wiring harness should be provided with your AL5D kit) and the switch turned on. Please note that the USB cable only powers the USB interface, not the on-board electronics or the servomotors.
You may want to also verify that the device (SSC-32U) does show up in Device Manager under the “Ports (COM & LPT)” section. Please unplug the USB cable and reconnect it. Note down which COM port shows up when the SSC-32U is connected. It would also be helpful to obtain the VID & PID values of the device. See the attached image for more details.
